To be useful.
I had a friend over yesterday, for whom I cooked dinner. It wasn’t anything advanced, but I had to do some preparation while she was in my apartment. At one point she exclaimed “This is great! I feel spoiled, thanks for doing this.”
It got me thinking. One of my favourite quotes by Elon Musk is this:
“One of the hardest things to do is to be useful.”
At that time I felt useful. And it was a gift.
