Be your own underdog.
There’s strength in being off. It lowers your expectations on your performance for the day, and makes it fine to do so.
What’s important to remember is that you almost always have the ability to exceed those expectations by far, even though you’re feeling off.
Humans are bad at setting expectations. Really really bad. Lowering them is exclusively good, because it lets you do two things.
Focus on what’s really important and do more than you thought you could do.
When low on resources, you have to prioritise. You’ll get what feels most important done, since that’s what you have to get done. And if you exceed that, you’ll feel good about yourself.
Being an underdog is wildly underrated. Especially in the game with yourself.
